20 oz. Pippin is a hard, tart, old fashioned apple. It is one of the best pie apples we sell and is also great for chunky applesauce.
Cameo – not available
A bright, red-striped apple with a creamy orange color; firm and crisp. It has a sweet/tart flavor, and makes a great fresh eating apple. You may even notice a hint of pear. Cameos are excellent for salads, pies, sauces, and baking.
Cortland – not available
Our most popular variety, Cortland is great for eating and cooking, and it doesn’t turn brown when cut, making it perfect for salads.
Empire – not available
This Red Delicious – McIntosh cross is a crunchy, sweet-tart, multi-purpose apple. It is New York State’s official apple and is especially good for eating.
Fuji – not available
Fuji is a smaller, hard, sweet-tart eating apple which ripens later in the growing season. It keeps its firmness well.
Gala – not available
Gala is a sweet-tart all purpose apple which ripens fairly early in the growing season. It is similar to the later variety Jonagold.
Ginger Gold – not available
One of the best early apples, Ginger Gold is a superb multi-purpose apple with a sweet-tart taste and a great crunch.
Golden/Yellow Delicious – not available
Golden Delicious is a firm-skinned, sweet, all purpose apple. It ripens midseason, is less acidic than many varieties and makes great sauce and pies.

Honeycrisp apples are honey sweet (with a touch of tart) and amazingly crisp. They are excellent for eating and salads, but are also good for sauces, baking, and pies.
Idared – not available
Idared is a tart all-purpose apple. It’s great for eating and also keeps better than any of the other varieties we sell.
Jonagold – not available
Jonagold is a sweet-tart all-purpose apple available later in the season. It keeps well and needs little sugar when cooking.
Jonamac – not available
Jonamac is a sweet-tart midseason apple. It is great for applesauce and is easy to eat because of its soft texture.
Macoun – not available
A sweet and tangy midseason eating apple whose crunch can’t be beat fresh from the tree.
Macintosh – Rubymac- not available
One of the most widely known varieties, McIntosh is a great sweet-tart eating apple and is also good for cooking.
Mutsu (Crispin) – not available
A late variety, Mutsu, or Crispin, keeps well and is great for eating, sauce, or pies. Like Jonagold, it needs little sugar for cooking.
Northern Spy -not available
Northern Spy is a tart all-purpose apple. It is most famous as a pie apple, but is great for eating too. We recommend using them quickly after purchase.
Red Delicious- not available
Another of the most well known varieties, Red Delicious ripens late in the growing year and is a large, firm fleshed, sweet eating apple.
